Olivia Aroha Giles is a writer of Kahungunu, Raukawa, Te Ati Awa, Te Whanau a Apanui, Irish and Scottish descent from Wellington. She writes novels, short stories and poetry about educated, feisty, successful maori women working their way through the drama of life.
