Adin, Vicky

Vicky Adin is a New Zealand author living on the North Shore of Auckland within walking distance of the beach, the coffee shops and inspiration.

Three words sum up her passion in life: family, history and language. After decades of genealogical research and a life-long love affair with words (she actually enjoyed writing essays at school) she has combined her skills to write poignant novels that weave family and history together, based on real people, with real experiences in a way that makes the past come alive.

She confesses to a vibrant and varied career – from stay-at-home mum, embroiderer and tutor, amateur thespian, business owner, professional conference organiser and university graduate to full-time author – a career that enriched her life and provides a lot of inspiration. She wonders what the next twenty years will bring.

Under The PastFinders Logo, Vicky Adin writes stories about people, their pasts and their passions.

Vicky Adin holds a Master of Arts degree with Honours in English and Education. When not writing you will find her reading – she is an avid reader of historical novels, family sagas and contemporary women’s stories; travelling, especially caravanning, and cruising with her life long partner and biggest fan; or spending time with her children and grandchildren, and gardening. Like Charlotte in her novel The Cornish Knot, Vicky loves roses.
