An account of the part played by 1st Batallion Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment in the confrontation with Indonesia in the Malaysian Borneo states of Sarawak and Sabah, a succinct and informative history during the period of 1963–1965.
The personal account from Robert Gurr supported by personal photographs, of the time he was in command of this Battalion.  Voices From a Border War describes the reason why the ‘Gurr Battalion’ armed themselves to counter a border incursion into Malaysia by the Indonesian Army.
